Bardhaman Planning area, as delineated by Burdwan Development Authority (BDA) extends over 157.62 Sq. Km, accommodating about 4.07 lakh population. It is located in the south part of Bardhaman district, 107 Km north-west of Kolkata Metropolitan area (KMA).
