Multilevel Car-Parking in front of the Collectorate Building, Burdwan

The Burdwan Development Authority would undertake a project of Multi Level Car Parking besides Purba Bardshaman Collectorate Building.
In order to avoid congestion of nearby road due to haphazard parking this project is being undertaken to cater the need of parking facility for 200 no. of Government vehicles. Project Cost Rs. 27.35 cr. (approximately).
The project is consisting of the following components.
Car Parking at two basements.
1. Food Stall at Top Floor.
2. Landscaping Garden/Lawn.

Accordingly, DPR of the project has been sent to the Principal Secretary, U.D. & M.A. Department, Government of West Bengal for administrative approval and financial sanction.

Beautification of the right side of the road including Jhill (Ditch) in the area of the Burdwan University at Golapbag campus

The road is running by the side of the University of Burdwan at Golapbag and this is a signature scheme in Burdwan Town. Many VIPs and dignitaries come to Burdwan University by using this road.

The Burdwan Development Authority besides renovation of the road from Bidhan Chandra Roy's statue to Golapbag more has decided to execute scheme for Beautification of the right side of the road including Jhill (Ditch) in the area of the Burdwan University at Golapbag.

In collaboration with PWD, Burdwan, the Burdwan Development Authority will facilitate in the making of design of the entire project. For this purpose, at present PWD is conducting Total Station Survey.

Bardhaman Planning area, as delineated by Burdwan Development Authority (BDA) extends over 157.62 Sq. Km, accommodating about 4.07 lakh population. It is located in the south part of Bardhaman district, 107 Km north-west of Kolkata Metropolitan area (KMA). The Bardhaman Planning Area consists of Bardhaman Municipal Area and its adjoining villages located in five Gram Panchayats under Bardhaman I Panchayat Samity and two Gram Panchayats in Bardhaman II Panchayat Samity.
