All the year round different types of Mela are held at Utsab Maidan, Burdwan which observe huge gathering. But there is no Toilet at that premise. Thousands of spectators specially the ladies are facing difficulty for nonavailability of Toilet at the Utsab Maidan premises. So the Burdwan Development Authority has decided to construct a “Pay & Use Toilet” at Utsab Maidan, Burdwan.

Bardhaman Planning area, as delineated by Burdwan Development Authority (BDA) extends over 157.62 Sq. Km, accommodating about 4.07 lakh population. It is located in the south part of Bardhaman district, 107 Km north-west of Kolkata Metropolitan area (KMA). The Bardhaman Planning Area consists of Bardhaman Municipal Area and its adjoining villages located in five Gram Panchayats under Bardhaman I Panchayat Samity and two Gram Panchayats in Bardhaman II Panchayat Samity.
